You Might Have Too Many Dogs When...

1. You tell your best friend, "Hold on for a minute, I have to have a word with the dogs," when you're talking on the phone.

2. You try to rationalize with them about picking up their toys. And they understand you.

3. When house hunting, you seriously consider things like, Will Satchel be able to sit in that window like she prefers? or I don't think that room would get enough light for Zoe's liking.

4. You stop noticing that you leave the house looking like a furball. Every single day.

5. Paw prints? What paw prints? I thought those were always there.

6. A trip to the vetinarian never equals less than $1,000. Ever.

7. People stop you on the sidewalk, and ask you about your dog walking business. You know, the one that doesn't exist.

8. You keep checking in the mirror to see if the word SUCKER is printed on your forehead.

9. You spend more time and money on their grooming and dental care than you do on your own.

10. They have their own closets. And beds. And dishes. And, well, pretty much the entire house is theirs.

I only have one, but she demands the attention of 20. I think I'm partially (or fully) to blame- I'm actually in the process designing my bedroom around the fact that she needs her bed to be in a little nook.

I love it Kelly! It is so true! Especially the vet visits (lately for us that is exactly right),the pawprints, and the fur. We love our dogs and would do anything for them, as evidenced by the fact that we have covered up our brand new kitchen floor with ugly, cheap, throw rugs, so Champ can get around without sliding. :)

But it's so funny to watch them slide, Courtney!!!

I can't agree more with you. Ever since I brought home my sweet little girl, Tasha, my thoughts are always with her whenever I go shopping and stuff. And the first thing the people at my office ask is "How is Tasha?". Sometimes it makes me feel like I'm a single father with a girl child! And I'm proud about it too!

This is too funny! My dog gets the full special treatment every day of his life and all he has to do is behave most of the time and stay cute, which is pretty easy for him.

Sigh... one queen size bed- two dogs under the covers. And a third that calls himself "husband"

Ha! This is a good one! But they're so loving, so it's worth it.

ALM, both my husband and I cracked up at your comment. Classic!
