Leaving from The Little Blue House in South Florida.
Below is a short video of us on the road.
Below is where we're hanging our hats for he next few weeks until our closing. Yes, all 6 of us.
What have we been up to since our arrival just days ago? Well, a lot of stalking, really. Our hotel isn't far from the new house so we've walked, run, and driven past it more times than I can count. Below was our first covert mission about an hour after busting into town. I suggested donning ski masks and dressing in black (you know, to be less obvious), but my idea was vetoed in favor of just passing ourselves off as average everyday lunatics. The sunset was really purty so, after pacing the sidewalk enough to be creepy, we decided to head the couple of blocks to the water at the end of our new street. I didn't tape our entire trek down there, so the video doesn't do the view justice, but it was just breathtaking. I'll catch it on film for you later. Because, of course, you know I'll be going by there again today. And tomorrow. And pretty much every day after that.
So what about you? Any funny stories to share about past moves? Were any of you hotel lurkers while waiting for your closing dates, too? Advice for keeping our dogs sane in our temporary teeny space?

You are a doll and a delight to read. I was 24 and bought my first bungalow from an 81 year old woman. I remember before closing on the home I was gettig cold feet and thought I could hang out at th house during the day and sleep back at my parents home. I loved putting my stamp on it. It was a true labor of love for my brother and dad to help me along the way. Wow! Sorry for the ramble! :0
Thanks again for your blog
Maureen
I absolutely LOVE that story, Maureen ("I could hang out at the house during the day and sleep back at my parents' home...")! Made me smile!
