But -- get this -- we saw dolphins. No, seriously, we did. You can't really tell in the video, but I did manage to catch around half a dozen of them on film for you. They're the sparkly white marks popping out of the water.
I miss that about living a block from the water. I used to run down the strand in Redondo Beach and see dolphins jumping out of the water. If only I had several million dollars so I could buy a house there :o)
Suz, maybe I'll run into you two there sometime! Although you're much more likely to be find me in San Marco Square or one of the surrounding parks.
Design-A-Peele, after a decade-ish of 80+ hour work weeks (and -- knock on wood -- a little bit of good luck) as the world passed me by, I try my darnedest to do whatever I want, when I want. In fact, it's pretty much my mantra these days.
Adrianna, yup those are mine taken with out cheapo camera. I love that sculpture, too.
In the eighties, I was a little kid who put together model buildings out of notebook paper and Scotch tape and spent days on end playing Monopoly with my best friend. What I've done over the last decade is pretty much the same thing. I began buying, renovating, and renting dozens of properties during Architecture school, where I mostly learned how to stay awake for six days straight.
Today I'm a new mother married with four dogs and way too many houses along the coasts of Florida. We recently moved into and began working on a three story lake house built in 1928.

Ah! I love Memorial Park. MB & I were just there the other day! We did not see dolphins, though. Boo.
I wish my job allowed me to have time to go to the park. Blah. I'm jealous. But happy for you!!!
wow, sounds like an amazing afternoon in the park;)
Did you take the above photos? I absolutely love the angel one! It's beautiful enough to paint or frame as is. LOVE IT.
