Nancy The Groomer thinks that she's a Golden Doodle.
I'm not entirely certain that she's isn't just a really hairy elephant since SHE STILL HASN'T STOPPED GROWING.
Which brings the totals to 6 Labradoodle, 2 Golden Doodle, 2 Wheaton Terrier, 2 Schnauzer, 1 Sheepdog, 1 Falcor, and 1 Greek. And an underlying suspicion that she might just be some sort of three hundred pound hybrid between a dog and a rhinoceros.

She looks a lot closer to a Wheaton than a Labradoodle in my opinion!! Too cute!
I have no idea but the hairy elephant comment made me laugh!
She's darling with the haircut! I don't know what she looks like either but she sure is cute and a keeper. :) Dora got a bath/nail trim today and she was not happy about it. As the groomer said "Dora not liking a bath? Well that is the understatement of the year."
Actually now with her hair cut, she does sort of have a face similar to our golden, but I've never seen a Wheaton with no hair, so...
Sad to see her hairless, though. I always think hairless dogs look naked and therefore very embarrassed. I'm pretty sure I'm projecting, though. :)
You can buy a DNA test kit to help determine what breeds a dog might be a mix of - might be worth it in Satchel's case.

My next-door-neighbor has two Wheatons, and I must say... Satchel looks a lot like them! I love her furry little "boots"!
Suz, that's EXACTLY what my best friend always says! Embarrassed and naked!
Cheryl, the vet told us that, and I'm so interested to try it! Have you ever done it?
Holly, the boots are for the weekends. Because you KNOW how she likes to hit the clubs.
I'm gonna go with a hairy ball of cuteness! She's 100% that!
I vote for the later. Too cute! Can't believe how different he looks without all that hair!
Ahh, the boots are too awesome! My vote is for Goldendoodle because he looks so much like my goldendoodle mix. He is so darn cute!
He's a girl! He's a girl!
That's it. I'm getting her a Style Rookie size bow for the collar.
haha, I am SO sorry! SHE is a cutie! Everybody calls my girl "he" as well and I'm always correcting--I don't know why I thought your little girl was a he?!
No worries, Brick! Everyone calls her a boy!
Yup, your post was similar to mine. How funny. :)
I vote Goldendoodle.... but honestly I have no idea! Perhaps one day you'll come across another dog that looks exactly like her, and figure out her breed that way, that is how we finally managed to come to our best-guess on our dog, too. Whatever she is, she's adorable!
I saw you'd commented on another blog and I stopped by to check you out because of your profile picture. I had a lovely little italian greyhound and I always love someone who knows these funny little creatures.
Just thought I'd say... great job blogging. I saw your conversation about quitting. I've just recently started and wonder the same thing sometimes...
Anyways. I'll be back often. You seem like fun! xo Erica
Thanks, Erica! And welcome!
p.s. I checked out your blog and really like your taste. Keep going.
Kelly - Unfortunately we are too allergic to have pets. I've just seen the test kits in some catalog I get and keep thinking it might be a fun gift for my brother, except that he has several rescued mutts - $80 apiece gets expensive with that many. But for just the one it could be interesting. I did a search after commenting earlier and saw one site that sends you a certificate that can be framed with the information on it and you can even upload a picture to be included. Since your vet mentioned it I would ask him/her for a recommendation about which are reputable - I have no clue.
Let us know if you take the plunge!

Thanks, Cheryl! That would be so neat, wouldn't it?!
By the way, have you ever considered a hypo-allergenic breed? Or are your allergies too severe?
We have blended allergies - mine are getting better, my husband's are getting worse. Supposedly that is normal as mine started in childhood & his started in adulthood - kinda crazy. Mostly we work too many hours to have a pet - it would not be fair.
We may get a dog after we retire & move to the mountains (the goal of all Floridians is to move to the mountains, correct?). It will probably have to be a mostly outdoor dog - unless we have a lot of hard surface flooring. Dog + wall-to-wall carpet + allergies = not happening!
I saw your mention of hiking in GA a few posts ago - let me know if you want ideas. We have vacationed in north GA, western NC and eastern TN for over 20 years. I think I've seen most of the really nice waterfalls all over the area and hauled my fanny up & down more trails than I thought possible.
