The Bathroom As A Bath Room

As someone who lives for one hundred and seventy four degree showers, I'm not quite sure if my love for standing in a small room full of steamy water is properly understood by the rest of the population. Well, maybe the Europeans. You can wash your hands and take a bath at the same time in a lot of their Tinkle Towns.

If you add a few more showerheads, something similar to the way that this bathroom functions would serve my purpose swimmingly, and I may finally have just the right space in this house to create it in. What do you think of bathrooms as bath rooms?

The only thing I'm hesitant about is moving the plumbing to the wall...

Love it! And I completely concur on the 174 degree showers. My husband refers to me as "the lobster" with good reason.

Hmm... maybe I'm alone here, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. I feel like I'd want some kind of divider - even if it's just half of a glass wall or something - to define the space.

I love how it looks, but I always have to think about the practicality. I have dogs, and if I accidentally leave the bathroom door open after a shower, are they going to go running into the wet bathroom and then track muddy footprints all over my house? (Wow, does this make me sound anal, or what?)

That's exactly what I love about it, though, Kate! My dogs shower with me, anyway, and I can just close them all in this room and hose them down! So easy!
