It was really neat! But hard to photograph. That darn armadillo was zippy. The tortoise on the other hand...

This is such a great feature! (Wish I had thought of it.) Love seeing little glimpses of your life.

PS: Can you tell me how you set up your blogger account so that your comment name links directly to your blog rather than your blogger page? Or do you just not sign into blogger when commenting?

we went to something like that while visiting my in-laws in az. we fed a giraffe-which was great but sent my skin crawling afterwards, had deer and goats chewing on my sweater-oh so much fun! p.s the tortoises we saw were mating, which was interesting in itself...

Anonymous, I just enter it under the Name/URL option.

Alison, I was kidding about the zoo part. It really is just this huge, untouched preserve for hiking along the ocean and intercoastal. We didn't think we'd actually see any animals. It was insane. And NOBODY was out there.

-- as in there were NO FENCED in areas or separation from the animals. You had no idea where they even were. YEAH, I KNOW. Hello, rattlesnake.
