Before + Progress is an ongoing series keeping you up to date on whatever project is currently occupying our time. There is still lots to be done at this point to make the Progress photos actually qualify for the coveted After stage. So yesterday I got an email from the tenant of
The Pad By The Sea asking if I might consider replacing the vanity in The Bathoom.
I can't imagine why. Here is The Bathroom...
I know. Barf.
I'm working on it.
What I've come up with so far involves Italian slate floors,
this faucet, an Ikea base, and some perfectly perfect
Duravit Fogo storage.
13 people chimed in:
I cannot wait to see it! I love the Italian slate floors. Gorgeous!
I would rent that place with all the new bathroom stuff....wow, beautiful ;)
Yeah, I can see why the tenants might not be enthralled with the bathroom.
I love slate - I almost wish I had done slate again in my current house, but since we did 1000 sf of it in the Boonies-Fallen-400K-In-Value house, the Husband wasn't keen on repeating.
SO gorgeous! I wish you had been my first landlord!
dang it, i wish you leased places in texas because i would love to live in one of your homes. i also love the names of your cute houses you lease...
Chacha, the rest of the unit has slate, but I never installed it in the bathroom. I love how it's characteristics change over time and that there is very little grout to maintain.
Rural, thank you!
Swoon! A landlord who recognizes lackluster vanities. We need more of you.
That faucet makes me drool.
What is that fantastic wall storage cabinet?
Margaret
Am I the only one hastily Googling that storage cabinet? We have zero storage in this house, and the bathrooms are the size of postage stamps. That thing looks like a serious workhorse.
I have fallen in love with glass tiles. Those that are the natural pale green color or cobalt blue.
If I were to redo a bathroom .. there would be as much of those little glass tiles as I could get in there.. with a glass sink . . and everything else white. Shiny white.
I love the plan... especially that faucet!
Bathroom is spectacular...Great plan indeed!i love the it.wonderful Blog...inspiring.
