Tomorrow Contractor Bobby is coming by to hang a thirty two inch flat screen on the wall opposite the bed, and I've spent a good deal of time figuring how to detail the wiring. Other than that, I think I can put this whole Master Bedroom project behind me. I could drag you through a recap of all the disasters, but let's be honest, do you really want to hear about the three hour bed saga or the ceiling that shot a softball size plaster chunk up my nose?
I didn't think so.
Anyway, here are some Before + After shots for your perusal...

Wow that is one sexy room! I especially love that furry blanket at the end of the bed.
oooh love the colours! i adore the striped hook ~ so much fun! it looks like a fancy hotel room, can i come to florida and stay over sometime? :o)
OF COURSE we want to hear about the plaster up your nose! Isn't that what renovating is all about? (Please say yes)
The room looks incredible. Great work!!
Love it! I want to live in your house. It looks so calming, relaxing, and inviting.
It's lovely. I especially love the pillows and curtains. So pretty!
Aw. Thanks, everyone. Melissa, the striped hook is from Anthropologie. It's even prettier in person. My one complaint is that it doesn't come with the hardware, so I had to dig around to find screws that looked properly worn enough. I was so annoyed that I even called their customer service line to recommend that they change that. For eighteen bucks, they should include the connectors!
It looks great!! I am envious of your crystal doorknobs. Would be a senseless and costly upgrade to a 80s tract home but perfect in your older house. I need an old house with cool details, dangit!
Anyway. I love the black and white geometric shaped pillows. I have been feeling chevron and stripes lately. I need to get me some.
Stunning!
Love the textures and patterns! Very sensual and relaxing!
nice job! i love the throw and your detail shots.
Beautiful! All of the small details are stunning.
Absolutely gorgeous Kelly! I love the details, and I LOVE the purple in there. And I'm mad over the "Starbucks art" turned "You Are My Sunshine" piece.
Ah, Hiphouse, I was wondering if anyone was going to notice that piece in there! Isn't it funny how after all of my complaining about the purple undertones in the original blue room, that I painted it gray only to bring more purple back in?
I'm confusing like that.
Okay, name something you're unable to do. Please. I'm having serious pangs of inadequacy over here.
That room is so dead on perfect, restful, and romantic; I'm in love with it.
I cannot reach things on the top shelf or French braid my own hair. I'm also unable to watch a movie in the theater without ordering popcorn doused in butter. I can't spend money getting my hair done without feeling a pang of guilt. I can't discipline my dogs with a straight face.
The list is long.
I really love your bedroom, The purple really gives it a special touch!
Thanks, Val! The weird thing is, I usually hate purple!
LOVE it!!! So posh. :) Everything looks wonderful. Thanks for the visit! :)
Wow Kelly, your eye for color AND detail is just amazing. I love all the little touches that you don't see until you've been standing in a room for about 5 minutes...things that continue to surprise you even after you've spent the night in there. You've covered it all! And whoever said that is a sexy room is spot on! It IS sexy!!
Thanks, Allyson! Now all we just need to install that vibrating bed and the mirror on the ceiling...
It looks awesome! Those nightstands rock!!
Oh my gosh! So gorgeous and luxurious. You did an amazing job!
Gorgeous! That's looks spectacular and so glam. And ohmygosh, I LOVE those pillows! Fantastic job!

Gorgeous! Love everything about it!
love the colors... you have a great eye, I could use some help :)
Beautiful! Where did you find all of your inspiration? I'm working on my Master right now and love what you did. I also have a similar bed to your old one, what did you do with it?
Take Care,
Lisa
Lisa, you can read about the progress here (that's the last of seven parts, if you want to work back through them):

I kind of had a Tim Burton meets luxury French hotel thing going on in my head when I was shopping for the Master. I wanted moody. I wanted sexy. I wanted personal. I wanted dark (not literally). But I still wanted it to be able to relate to the sort of mellow vintage mixed with modern thing that I have going on in the rest of the house. Does that make sense?
Also, here's a post on what I did with the bed that we used to have (it was Andrew's bachelor bed) when we were living in The Little Blue House for a couple of months:

I think beiges and lighter colors went well with it since it was so heavy.
Can't wait to see what you do with your space.
absolutely beautiful. You have an amazing gift :)
You all are SO sweet.
I'm sorry, but I really can't find anything wrong with this space... it's perfect!
Thanks, Kasey. We are so happy to have a Master Bedroom again!
I just came over from Better After and it's great! I love all the detailed photos!
Also from B&A - where did you get the chandelier? It would be perfect in our bedroom as well!
NM - Found it on another one of your posts! I should have known it's IKEA.
Yes, ma'am. We're usually not fans of Ikea, but we love our chandy. It was only around thirty bucks, too!
Gorgeous! Really love this transformation, all the purple and your great taste!
Thanks, Zhush!
That looks great!
Love all of the changes!
Blessings~

My God, I LOVE it! I'm a huge fan of lilac, and your room looks sexy and absolutely stunning! Saw you in apartment therapy, good luck on the contest! You're my fav!
Thank you, Rocio! I'm flattered!
I love it all!!! I love the patterned pillows SOOOOO MUCH!!!! I was about to think of diy'ing some myself because I can't find those kind of patterns anywhere! Oh please tell me where did you stumble upon them? And where did that gorgeous fur throw come from? I'm such a copy cat lol. But I'm bookmarking you now for more ideas, keep on truckin Kelly
Hi Kelly, thanks for stopping by at Casa Haus! Of course I had to post your bedroom; everybody loved it! Happy holidays!
