Me: Am I okay? I wasn't the one who was all, 'We're about to drive over a ninety degree hill, why don't you hold back our new four ton bed from flying out and decapitating someone on the highway.'
LOL I had a friend once in college who didn't want to pay the $80 delivery fee for his new $5,000 couch (yeah, he was "special"). So he put the pieces of the new sectional into his truck bed. And, like you guys, it wasn't even tied down with rope.
And (unlike you guys), once he hit the highway 3 large pieces of furniture flew out - at 80mph. It's a good thing only the furniture was hurt!
And yes, I totally laughed at him. :) Maybe he should've hired you to hold his new couch down for him, haha.
In the eighties, I was a little kid who put together model buildings out of notebook paper and Scotch tape and spent days on end playing Monopoly with my best friend. What I've done over the last decade is pretty much the same thing. I began buying, renovating, and renting dozens of properties during Architecture school, where I mostly learned how to stay awake for six days straight.
Today I'm a new mother married with four dogs and way too many houses along the coasts of Florida. We recently moved into and began working on a three story lake house built in 1928.
