With the (correct! correct! correct!) cabinets finally installed yesterday, I've been forced to commit to the granite slabs.
I meant to have photos for you, but we're sitting in an airport and the plane just arrived, so I thought I'd pop in for a few seconds and tell you about them instead. So no pictures just yet.
Doesn't that make you want to punch me in the face?
The stones we chose are exotic granites, and I was drawn to both of them right away. The pearl cabinets are getting a slab called Black River, which looks exactly like you'd imagine it. It's got this deep dark tone that picks up the color of the walls with a lightning bolt of cream shooting through it. The charcoal cabinets are getting a really stony Venetian, sort of like a cross between a Cashmere and a marble, but with large enough movement to echo it's darker counterpart.
We're looking at a Tuesday or Wednesday installation and, if you can't tell, I'm VERY excited.
