Today I'm wrapped in his jacket.
It was given to him by the father of one of his best friends. Who was in Vietnam.
Growing up, my bedroom was right next to my brother's, and we had this funky little pass through that linked the back of our closets.
So I used to steal this. And throw it over my cheerleading uniform after football games.

i haven't been a reader long enoough to know what happened to your brother, but i will say i am so sorry for your loss. my brother happens to be 34, and i can't imagine how i would feel if he weren't a part of my life anymore- heartbroken is the only word i can think of. my heart goes out to you.
Is this the same brother you used to go to track meets with? I just remember a pic you posted of you and your mom and another blonde boy on bleachers...
It looks good on you. I'm glad it still smells like him. I would also cherish it.
That is a GREAT jacket.
My brother is 38 and my sister is 24. I can't imagine not having either one in my life. Thank you for reminding me to appreciate what I have while I have it.
Yes, Chiara, but he had dark hair. Gosh, that was FOREVER ago.
:( great post Kelly
Thanks, Kate.
