GIVEAWAY!

I get a lot of questions about my flooring projects which are always done in wood or stone, not because I'm opposed to other choices or I'm trying to anger the tree huggers, but because I'm actually partial to the boring backdrop of natural materials and I don't feel the need to make a social statement on the floor where I set my toilet. There are bedroom ceilings for that.

BUT, I've been feeling a little more adventurous lately, like, maybe we'll throw some glass into the mix? Or a herringbone pattern? Or an unexpected tile?! Which ignited some mad sketching, a stint of MLS spying at three o'clock in the morning, and a firestorm of internet tile lusting.

Which, of course, included one of our sponsors.

Tile Showroom offers a wide range of quality tile products with the convenience of online ordering and a price match guarantee. And they've generously offered to give one of our readers a $100 gift card that can be applied to any order WHOA whoa whoa whoa whoa. Dial back.

Did you just say A HUNDRED FREE DOLLARS?

Why, yes, I totally did. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment. And if you send me a picture of one of your tile projects that inspires me, you're entered twice.

Giveaway closes at 12.00 pm, January 9, 2011.

Wow! Thanks for the great giveaway!

And I know that you're talking about flooring, but... perhaps our awesome tiling skills in our kitchen backsplash and countertop inspire you?

Awesome giveaway! Thank you so much. :)
I don't have a tile project picture, but with this giftcard, you'd better believe my kitchen backsplash would be getting an awesome new look!

I don't know if it's inspiring to you, but when I look back at this http://coloradobungalowmakeover.blogspot.com/search/label/bathroom

Woo! Great giveaway! I would love to add a backsplash in my kitchen.

Does it count that I almost picked out the tile? Unfortunately the bathroom floor isn't quite ready for it...
We are going back and forth between white squares with the black square in the middle or the same in the octagon shape...any thoughts?

Sweet giveaway!!! I was just looking at tile for my 2nd floor (aka 'public') bath.

This has to rank as one of the top giveaways ever. I mean, with $100 off I could totally convince the hubs to re-do the entire kitchen floor in travertine, right? Well, I would definitely try.

Count me in. I need a bathroom redo so this would be perfect!

Yea! I need 100 bucks!

Yea for giveaways! We need a kitchen backsplash and this would help get my butt in gear!

We haven't tackled any tile projects yet. Soon though. Even sooner with 100 bucks to put toward it! We have, however, laid about 3/4 of our first floor in cork. (We just haven't gotten to the remaining 1/4). It's pretty stuff.

Ooh Ooh Ooh!

I don't have a picture per se of my tile project, but we're taking a half bath and converting it to a full bath, complete with a vintage cast iron claw foot tub in fire engine red. The tile's going to be black subway with white grout, and we have a hexagonal white & black tile for the floor. I want to use a similar pattern in marble for the front entryway.

There's also my first foray into tiling: http://turnrightatlakemichigan.blogspot.com/2010/11/mini-project-faux-fireplace-progress.html

Yay giveaways!

I am dreaming of a new kitchen backsplash, so $100 would mean it is time to go for it!

We may just have to get off our butts and replace the 23 year old builder grade carpet & vinyl in our house. We've been talking about tile in bathrooms (& maybe kitchen) & wood laminate everywhere else. I'd like to get it done before we retire & move (planned for mid 2012). This would be a great incentive!

If I email you a picture of one of the existing bathrooms in the Ugly Duckling that needs so much help (and am embarrassed to publish otherwise) will that count too ? *LOL* I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate pebbles into one of the 2.5 bathrooms in the house :o)

I'm with amy_sue - if this giveaway is open to Canadians, count me in! :)

My house has no tile (just faux tile - blecch!), so I don't have any projects to share (yet!), but I'd love the chance to change that...

Vonda said...

Oh la la. That would help us here or possibly in the house we're going to look at today!

Carol said...

What an awesome giveaway! I don't have a tile project to show off, because my house hasn't made it that far yet. However, my bathroom could definitely use the help!

My bathroom needs help but we are actually changing all the doors in the house. New front door and new back door and a new closet door in my son's room. The wood is so old it is actually falling apart.
