It always struck me as if it was melting, at least from the outside view. Or like one of those beach sand drip drip sandcastles. http://www.wickedsatisfying.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/dripcastle.jpg
Clearly, I chose the right profession by not becoming an architect. Yes, I just compared an amazing architectural achievement to a drip drip sandcastle.
That is exactly what my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, who've been living/teaching in Spain for the past year and a half, said about that church. Stunning!
In the eighties, I was a little kid who put together model buildings out of notebook paper and Scotch tape and spent days on end playing Monopoly with my best friend. What I've done over the last decade is pretty much the same thing. I began buying, renovating, and renting dozens of properties during Architecture school, where I mostly learned how to stay awake for six days straight.
Today I'm a new mother married with four dogs and way too many houses along the coasts of Florida. We recently moved into and began working on a three story lake house built in 1928.

Seriously, amazing!
Simply amazing.
That is incredible. I love the 2nd and 4th pic. I am amazed at the architecture, and the human effort that went into this building. Truly remarkable.
Oh, and I'm glad you got sleep! Those 12 hours sure do help, don't the?

And I'm still jealous. Have fun!!
Oh, have an amazing time, it certainly looks like you are! Janell
It's hard NOT to feel spiritual in a place like that. It was striking. The scale is so much more overwhelming in person.

Wow.................
They have added so much since I was there in 2008! WOW! You're a great photographer, too.
