It was strange and wonderful and massive and quite unlike anything I've ever experienced. (At the same time, it was exactly what I'd envisioned.)

That is incredible. I love the 2nd and 4th pic. I am amazed at the architecture, and the human effort that went into this building. Truly remarkable.

Clearly, I chose the right profession by not becoming an architect. Yes, I just compared an amazing architectural achievement to a drip drip sandcastle.

It's hard NOT to feel spiritual in a place like that. It was striking. The scale is so much more overwhelming in person.
That is exactly what my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, who've been living/teaching in Spain for the past year and a half, said about that church. Stunning!
