Guess what we've been up to?
(Not a single one of you are going to mention that we're just now finishing this room as we're moving out of the house.)
Ignore the dog crates. And the boxes. And the disheveled paintings.
We've started packing for The New House. You know, the one we're moving into in six weeks. The one we still haven't found. And did I mention we'll be gone two of those six weeks on the second part of The World Tour?
BECAUSE WE'RE INSANE.
Anyway, back to The Dining Room. It still needs some finish work and a light fixture. We'd planned on buying West Elm's Pleated Pendant, but they're no longer carrying it. So. Any suggestions along those lines? I can't get pleats out of my head.
Oh, also, because we spent seven thousand hours sanding this wall to get it to match the original finish, I have to include this.
It used to be solid with only one opening in the dead center. Remember?

I don't know what to say other than you are insane. Going on vacation again and you don't know where you are going to live? Crazytown
Oh it looks great in there! I hope you find a perfect-for-you house soon that needs some work to it and you'll blog all about it!
Enjoy the ride, I think its great, so many feel the need to plan out every move and decision down the second that much of the joy and adventure is lost.
omg. You are my debumping hero. We have bumps galore in our house. It makes me cringe- is it worth putting the time and manpower into it to have silky smooth walls?
No, Rolerkite! We love the bumpy walls! (Okay, love is a strong word. More like, we recognize that they contribute to the authenticity of our historic house.) We actually sanded the walls to try and RECREATE the bumpity-ness!
Good luck finding a new place to live!!!
My feed is obviously too gunked up because I don't know how I missed this post. So six weeks? Nice to fly by the seat of your pants...p.s.At least you've boxed up that room. Hopefully you don't have too many more to go before your trip.
