It's time for some inspiration around here, don't you think?
I found this saved on my computer this morning, but I can't credit it because I have absolutely no idea where it came from.
I adore every inch of it, save the monster counter bracket and the mouldings at the top of the cabinets and the way they capped off the subway tile.

Wow. Beautiful! Makes me want to tear out more walls in my kitchen. Except. Wait...
Yup, it's gorgeous!
i think my favorites are the flooring (unexpected!), the door, the chairs, and the lighting. the rug is nice, too.
Kelly - Do you have a Pinterest account yet? I would be more than happy to send you an invite. I know there is something magical about right-click-saving but Pinterest is like the inspiration mecca.
This is gorgeous. Really. The things you don't like, I can't see. The eyes you know, being old that way...
Nah. I don't really have time for it, lately, and it seems like there's too much digging involved. But I'll probably float around there when I'm in the throes of our new house reno. I've seen our current kitchen linked about a billion times on it.
If you buy that house, I'll take the monster counter bracket off your hands.
Ha! The houses we buy usually have kitchens more of, um, the 1990 variety...
Hey, how did you end up with a photo of my kitchen???
Oh, wait...
ohhh, THAT'S where it came from...
heh.
Looks like a comfortable spot to sit and have coffee while watching someone make me breakfast.
Here's a link to the kitchen with a few other rooms by Tia Zoldan. It even shows the room styled differently: http://littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com/2011/02/high-gloss-mag-tia-zoldan.html

Love the hints of blue and the sconces above the window and the floor is my FAVORITE. The floor and the sconces and the chairs almost make it feel like an outdoor patio...
I like the floors - and the beams on the ceiling....
That's Tia's kitchen. Tia has a great blog, too, http://theroofovermyhead.blogspot.com/
Aren't those lights excellent for the space? And that blue-grey door?! Awesome!
I would not argue if someone said I had to live with that kitchen.
