Must Be The Prenatal Vitamins

How did my hair get this long?!

I'm extremely happy to report that I have an Aveda appointment tomorrow, which is my first since May.

I'm kind of considering chopping the locks.

As I was taking these pictures, I realized what a number the sun did to my color this summer. It's naturally a chestnut brown, a cross between my father's charcoal Chinese Indonesian shade and my mother's golden white English blonde. So it should be no surprise that my hair is easily confused.

I'd like to straighten the situation out, but the baby books all say different things about highlights from they're absolutely okeedokee to your fetus won't score over a 1200 on it's SAT if you step within two blocks of a salon.

Then again they also say that food cravings are all in your head.

Tell that to the carrots and egg rolls and diet root beer floats. THAT I'VE BEEN EATING TOGETHER.

p.s. Is anyone else's Blogger main page all Willy Wonky? It seems to correct itself when you click through the site, but for seemingly no reason my main page's right column has moved itself to the bottom. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know!

You look gorgeous. And congrats on the baby on the way! Here's me crossing my fingers hoping you have zero morning sickness, and a fantabulous pregnancy.

P.S. My hair always grew like crazy during pregnancy.
P.S.S. Blogger has been misbehaving for weeks/months now. It always seems to correct itself at some point...sort of...

So I just checked out your Etsy and have been scrolling through your entire site and I have to say: beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Congratulations on your pregnancy and can't wait to read more (and poke around your etsy shop more!). xoxo

1. I've known plenty of moms-to-be who have gotten highlights, waxed their legs, and -- gasp -- enjoyed the occasional small glass of wine throughout their pregnancies. I'm happy to report that their kids are happy, healthy, and smart (well -- as smart as kids tend to be, anyway). Probably because their moms stayed relaxed and in good moods, which probably effects a growing fetus as much as anything else. :)

2. I have no plans of getting pregnant anytime soon, but I've been taking the prenatals fora few years because they're so good for you. And if you're trying to grow your hair out, they're amazing! Though it seems like many women cut their hair short when they get pregnant -- probably easier to manage?

3. Time to switch to Wordpress. SO much better. ;)

beautiful pics!

I want to get highlights (35 weeks now) but my husband won't allow me, even though there's no real proof that hair dying will harm the baby. At least he brought me a Groupon for a salon appointment for after the baby comes. I plan to highlight the shizz out of my hair and add purple/blue ends, just because I can!!

From what I learned about the hair thing... highlighting is fine because the bleach/chemicals do not touch your scalp, dye etc which is slathered on your head, skin included is a no no.
Your hair looks fabulous and if you lived here, you would wish it were longer. Women don't go for short hair here.. very feminine society in South America .. my hair has been past my shoulders for the past 4 years and I love it... easy easy !
Are you going to the salon right there in the neighborhood ? We used to go there .. on the corner. Great waxing and I love all the Aveda makeups ..
Your hair and your nails will grow nicely now, enjoy it while you will have time :)
besos.. sending gentle pats on the belly :)

I just chopped off a lot of my hair so I say cut away! I like it so much more now.

And yeah, blogger has been a pain lately. There is a new interface in the works so I think that's been messing with things...

No chop! No! Your hair is gorgeous on you! I think chestnut for the fall would be beautiful.

Blogger made my try the new layout and I didn't like it. By the way?! Your new(ish) layout is FANTASTIC!

My husband always said that long hair balanced a pregnant woman out more ... not such a big belly/ little head look LOL
Of course, that could have been due to the fact that he loved my long hair .. which was highlighted.

You are gorgeous, wouldn't change a thing. Very excited about the baby who will grow up thinking the same thing, "Mom is gorgeous, she shouldn't change a thing."

Best wishes to your sweetie.

Ha! I just commented on your Facebook photo! Your hair looks awesome as is; I vote for "just a little trim" if you feel like your ends need some attention :)

Hormones will make your want to cut your hair, DON'T DO IT!!! I have had long hair through 2 babies & it is just super easy to throw it up when I need to. Plus, long hair makes you feel sexy & you need all of that "sexiness" as you get bigger & bigger! ;)

WHAAAAAT. Prenatal pills? Baby books? Holy crap, I went on blog reading hiatus for a few months, and come back to this?! Holy crap - congrats, girl! I have some reading to do to get caught up. Also I think your hair looks great when it's long, so I vote for the "don't chop" option. :)

I find that women tend to chop their hair towards the third trimester. Somehow at that size you feel like the last possible way of transforming yourself is getting a cute bob. Definetly do it and why not get bangs while you're at it!

HA! I am not looking forward to all the things you have to give up when I finally get prego. Although, I may still get some highlights. Wee ones.

These vitamins are the easiest to take that I have tried, by a long way. I did start out with a nice multivitamin/multimineral that was huge and I had to take it three times a day
