Beautiful and honest and I promise you, the disconnect will completely vanish the second you smell that baby.

There is something so primal about the smell of your own newborn. That sealed the deal for me. That first night was pure heaven with my little burrito wrapped up next to me sniffing her newborn head. Not that there weren't issues. Trust me. There were. It's a huge, massive adjustment. And clearly I wasn't the birth'en kind. But I would live that moment over and over again if I could.

This is how I feel. Althgough I'm 19 weeks and haven't felt the baby at all. Its really bringing me down. I think you should frame this letter - it's perfect!

Beautiful. I too wrote letters to my unborn babe - then I emailed them to her and didn't look back (yes, I am the crazy person who opened an email account for her fetus!) Your son will one day cherish these letters as precious gifts from a mom who loved him from the very first moment.
